Emily Ratajkowski is using her clothing to wade into political discourse.
Today, just as the jury in the criminal trial against former President Donald Trump announced they had reached a guilty verdict on all 34 charges, the model stepped out in a particularly timely T-shirt. Ratajkowski wore a black tee from Platform bearing a black-and-white image of Stormy Daniels, the porn actor and director who was allegedly paid off by Trump ahead of the 2016 election. She wore the prescient shirt with sweat shorts, red Vans, and yellow sunglasses.
Emily Ratajkowski has used fashion to express her political beliefs and comment on current affairs in the past. In February 2020, she wore a tee in support of then-presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, emblazoned with the words “Rage against the machine.” In December 2019, she attended the premiere of Uncut Gems in a black Hervé Leger dress with the words “fuck Harvey” scrawled on her arm, in reference to the disgraced film producer and now-convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein.
