The good kind of surprise.
After taking a year off from the Cannes Film Festival, Bella Hadid is back and better dressed than ever. Seemingly making up for lost time, a day hasn’t gone by that the supermodel hasn’t wowed us with her wardrobe. From freeing the nipple in a sheer dress made of pantyhose at The Apprentice premiere to her plunging Saint Laurent gown with tiny hip cutouts, Hadid has continued to put her best fashion foot forward on the red carpet—but that’s not to say, her off-duty outfits haven’t been working overtime also.
Case in point? On Thursday, the beauty founder was spotted departing the Hôtel Martinez while putting an ultra-glamorous spin on daytime attire. For a casual stroll on the Croisette, Hadid wore a white summer dress that, from the front appeared have a simple crewneck T-shirt silhouette, but when she turned around, it featured a surprising, sexy detail in the back. Anything but basic, Hadid's midi-length dress included an asymmetric draped cutout that spanned from her right shoulder down the length of her spine on the opposite side.
She accessorized with a bright blue Jacquemus handbag, a pair of optic white sandals with an optical-illusion heel, and tiny black sunglasses. Hadid slicked her hair back into a glossy bun, revealing a pair of chunky gold earrings below that matched a stack of bangles on her wrist. Meanwhile, a swipe of pink lipstick, flushed cheeks, and sun-kissed skin rounded out her glam.

Not even a few hours later, Hadid emerged from her hotel again, debuting a new outfit change—this time, wearing a red-and-white handkerchief dress with a ruffled hemline and a keyhole cutout at the bust. Accessorizing with a matching ice cream cone, she also color-coordinated with a pair of red mules and tinted aviators, as well as a lacy white hairpiece.
