I think she just found the perfect summer dress.
Andie MacDowell is the picture of sophistication on every red carpet she attends. And the Cannes Film Festival is no different. The actress was spotted in the South of France looking summery and garden party-ready in an ethereal white floral maxidress.
MacDowell was spotted arriving at Hotel Martinez (where all the celebrities congregate during the festival) in a billowing white maxidress with a purple, yellow, green, and blue flower print, buttons, and a patterned hem. She styled the piece with a matching crisp white blazer and silver loafers.
She kept her accessories to a minimum, but carried a small bouquet of white roses and her signature gray hair was worn in her natural curls.
Later, MacDowell changed out of her dress and into a pirate blouse with puffy sleeves and beige linen trousers (and the same silver slip-ons). Her fabulously oversized sunglasses and tweed tote bag gave the whole European-inspired look an Old Hollywood feel for her stroll through the streets of Cannes.

MacDowell’s daughter, Margaret Qualley, is also in Cannes promoting her new body-horror film, The Substance. The movie, in which Qualley stars alongside Demi Moore, received an 11-minute standing ovation during its premiere on Sunday night, per Variety.
During an event for her other star-studded movie Kinds of Kindness, Qualley wore a black maxidress and gigantic, wide-brimmed hat, which fans think was an homage to her mother’s Four Weddings and a Funeral character. During the 1994 rom-com, MacDowell’s Carrie wore a white dress and a massive black hat.
