They’re all less than $30 at Amazon.
The summer months bring some of my favorite things: breezy sundresses, ice cream for dinner, and evening park hangs. One thing I could live without? The frizzy hair that comes with heat and humidity. And this year, I decided to finally revamp my routine with flyaway-fighting products. That’s why I tapped Rita Hazan, celebrity hair colorist and founder of Rita Hazan Salon, for recommendations, and her top four picks are all available for less than $30 at Amazon.
Hazan’s list of clients include Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Sydney Sweeney—just to name a few—so you can see why I trust her wholeheartedly with hair advice. In general, “when shopping for anti-frizz products, look for terms such as blocks humidity, smooths, and repels outside environmental oils,” she said. Hazan went on to suggest specific creams, conditioners, and serums from Briogeo, Redken, Nexxus, and her eponymous label.
Below, check out the top four products Hazan recommends for reducing frizz and flyaways.

Rita Hazan Smoothing Crème
Buy on Amazon $28
Starting off with her namesake brand, Hazan recommends the Rita Hazan Smoothing Crème for “fighting frizz when styling your hair and keeping it looking healthy and shiny all day long.” The formula is safe for color-treated locks and protects against heat damage. All you have to do is run the product through damp hair, starting at the ends and making your way up to the roots, and then continue on with your blow-drying routine. Plus, according to a reviewer, you can also use the product before letting your strands air dry, and it’ll “keep [your] hair from getting frizzy.”
Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Cream
Buy on Amazon $26
Hazan swears by the Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Cream for “locking in all-day hydration” thanks to its impressive lineup of ingredients. It’s made with a blend of oils, including rosehip, coconut, and argan, which work together to condition, moisturize, and protect strands from breakage. And depending on the length of your locks, you’ll apply from a pea- to quarter-sized amount of cream to damp hair from the roots to tips before blow-drying and styling it. A shopper with thick, curly hair even said the product “helped control [their] frizz drastically to give it a much smoother look.” It’s no wonder more than 1,000 Amazon shoppers have purchased the product in the past month, per the retailer.
Redken Frizz Dismiss Conditioner
Buy on Amazon $26
If you don’t regularly use hot tools on your hair, add the Redken Frizz Dismiss Conditioner to your wash day routine for silky smooth locks. “It’s super lightweight and doesn’t leave hair greasy throughout the day,” according to Hazan. Plus, it’s made with babassu oil to hydrate the hair and scalp and fight off the effects of humidity. A reviewer said it’s “very moisturizing, makes [their] hair super soft, and is very effective at taming frizz.” Not to mention, it “smells great.”
Nexxus Ultralight Smooth Hair Serum
Buy on Amazon $16 $11
“Incorporating a hair serum can work for lackluster strands as well,” Hazan said, and she specifically recommends the Nexxus Ultralight Smooth Hair Serum, which is on sale for $11 with an on-site coupon. It “helps with flyaways, blocks humidity, and gives your hair a natural shine,” she said, and these effects can last for up to 72 hours according to the brand. You can use it on both damp and dry hair, and it even works as a heat protectant, too. According to a reviewer, the serum is a “great option for leave-in after the shower,” since it leaves their locks “soft and manageable.”
With hot and humid summer days right around the corner, now is the time to add these frizz-fighting formulas to your hair care routine.
