That's as in Before Christ.
Rita Ora loves a naked dress (who doesn’t?), and the singer stayed true to herself at the 2024 Met Gala—while also taking the trend to the next level in perhaps the nakedest naked dress of all time.
Ora arrived on the green-and-ivory Garden of Time carpet in a sideless Tom Ford halter dress that had two curtains of beads covering her front and back layered over a flesh-colored sheer bodysuit that was barely noticeable. Perhaps the most notable part of the outfit (which is saying a lot) was that the beading that comprised the look dated all the way back to the first and second century B.C. As in, two millennia ago.

For her glam, Ora rocked a wet mullet and shimmery blue eyeshadow.
While speaking with Vogue, Ora joked that the practically-ancient beads are “older than anyone on this planet.”
She shared more of the inspiration behind the look when speaking with Entertainment Tonight on the carpet. "Hi guys, I'm wearing a necklace this year at the MET," she teased before adding that the dress was meant to represent "the beauty of the body and women's existence and presence."
"[It's about] not doing as much but also doing a lot, you see what I mean?" she added. "And these beads are from actually second century B.C."
Ora attended fashion's biggest night with her husband Taika Waititi, who wore head-to-toe brown leather, including a three-piece suit, tie, and matching shoes. He accessorized with diamond necklace. The couple held hands and shared a few smooches while posing for the flashing cameras.

The couple also attended last year's Met together, where Ora chose yet another naked dress that subtly paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld. The Prabal Gurung number featured a very long train and floral appliqués, one of the designer's signatures.
