She paired her Oscar de la Renta dress with a full face of glam.
Pamela Anderson just made her Met Gala debut. And while her red carpet signature look of late is makeup-free and minimalistic, the iconic Hollywood bombshell (who went viral for going bare-faced at Paris Fashion Week last year, and again at the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in March) went full glam after scoring the most coveted fashion invite of the year.
For her first Met Gala, Anderson made a surprising choice and ditched her signature no-makeup look, opting for glossy pink lips, matching blush, dusty rose eyeshadow. She complemented the soft pink tone of her makeup with a gorgeous nude-colored Oscar de la Renta dress, which featured a one-shoulder silhouette, a bustier bodice, and flowing skirt. Replacing the missing sleeve of her dress was a strand of double strand of pink, lab-grown Pandora diamonds, while a wavy updo with a feathered hairpiece provided the final finishing touch.
In a November 2023 interview with People, the star—who admitted she “really didn’t know anyone would notice” when she went makeup-free at Paris Fashion Week—called her new mindset “freeing.”
"I don't have to be cool anymore," the Love, Pamela author shared. "I can just be me. It's very freeing to be comfortable in your own skin." However, Anderson also said she was being fluid about her future, playing with different makeup looks and outfits, and fans might see her going back to a more glam aesthetic down the line.
"I'm not opposed to it; I just don't want to play the game," she told the publication. "It felt good to look in the mirror and say, 'I'm OK just like this.'"
