In a cutout dress and platform heels, no less.
Following her extended hospital stay for an undisclosed health issue, Kate Beckinsale is back on the red carpet, looking (and hopefully feeling) better than ever.
On Thursday, the actress attended the inaugural King's Trust Gala in New York City—her first public event in more than two months. Making up for lost time, Beckinsale pulled out all the style stops, wearing a sheer white organza gown with a one-shouldered silhouette, a side cutout that spanned half of her torso, and a thigh-high slit, which revealed a pair of pristine white platform heels below. She carried a green bejeweled clutch that matched her manicure and accessorized with dangling diamond earrings and sparkly rings.
As for glam, she pulled her brunette hair up into a sky-high ponytail that was accented with a black bow, while shimmery eyeshadow and pink lipgloss provided the final finishing touches to her beauty look.
Kate Beckinsale Hinted at Having "Stomach" Issues Following Her Recent Hospitalization
At the event, Beckinsale didn’t directly address her health, but admitted that it’s been a difficult couple of months while speaking with People. “It’s been a rough year,” she said. “Because my parents have both been unwell and my cat … it’s been a bunch of things. So that’s why it’s nice to come and see friends and have a little perspective. Everyone’s had a bit of a rough year, I think.”
The last time Beckinsale made an appearance on the red carpet was at Netflix’s 2024 SAG Awards Celebration in Los Angeles back in February. The next month, she sparked concerns over her health while sharing a slideshow of since-deleted teary-eyed photos from a hospital bed—and while she has yet to explain why she was there, she previously hinted that her illness has something to do with her stomach after sporting a “Tummy Troubles Survivor” T-shirt on Instagram.
