Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve likely been seeing Challengers—and its chic tennis fashion—everywhere this past month. On the red carpets, the Luca Guadagnino film’s main stars Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist have all been channeling sporty style in their own ways; Zendaya, in particular, has been nailing this approach—right down to her tennis racket dress and tennis ball heels (both by Loewe). Just because the movie is now out in the world, however, doesn’t mean that the tennis aesthetic is fizzling out anytime soon. In fact, it’s still thriving: This morning, Lady Gaga was spotted keeping the court-ready look alive.
The singer was seen at a tennis club in Malibu with boyfriend Michael Polansky. While it’s unclear if the couple was playing a round of singles or doubles—or if Polansky was just there to cheer Gaga on as she practices—it’s clear that Gaga brought a perfect athletic-chic look to the arena. Channeling the signature Challengers aesthetic, the star wore a neon-green sweatshirt with a complementary pleated mini skirt (a tennis must). She even perfected the accessories—like the quilted tennis bag, and the ready-to-run-in low-top sneakers. The timing of this spotting is too perfect: Perhaps Gaga saw Challengers and felt inspired to put her stamp on the look. That, or she’s been a secret tennis pro this whole time. Singer, dancer, actor, athlete—is there anything Gaga can’t do?
