Zendaya’s Challengers fashion tour is a case study in channeling main-character energy on the red carpet, but her latest tennis-focused look takes things off the court and into the pages of Vogue. Law Roach, the star’s stylist, shared a snap on Instagram showing her recreating a photo of tennis champions Serena and Venus Williams that appeared in the magazine back in 1998. From the striped gown to the beaded wig, Zendaya recreated the Annie Leibovitz shot from the dress’s dramatic fanned-out skirt to the upright posture of the famed sisters.
“An ode to the GREATS @venuswilliams @serenawilliams,” Roach captioned the shot. “We thank you for all you have done! With Love, Z and Law.” He also gave a shoutout to Wes Gordon and the team at Carolina Herrera for helping with the gown.

Just yesterday, Zendaya wore a different black-and-white gown to the Challengers premiere in Los Angeles. The Vera Wang gown featured a white ball-style skirt with a black panel in the front and a lacy bodice with garter-belt-style details. The look was a departure from her latest run of tennis-inspired looks, which included a Lacoste set with a shimmering mesh skirt and a Loewe look that had actual tennis balls on the heels, but she did change into a bold neon gown with a plunging neckline that echoed the color of most tennis balls for an after-party.

The superstar gave a rare look at her relationship with Tom Holland during a stop on the red carpet, saying that she appreciated his support as she crisscrossed the globe. While he didn't make an appearance at the L.A. premiere, he did sneak into the film's London event and was seen offering up a kiss inside the theater. Last month, he joined her and Roach at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, California.
“It’s great. I mean, I feel so lucky. I have so much beautiful support around me,” Zendaya told Entertainment Tonight. “Even tonight, I have so many family — they’re over there — family and friends here.
