Mom and dad do date night.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom might be one of the most well-known celebrity couples around, but glitzy Hollywood events aren’t exactly their thing.
It took over two years of dating for them to finally make their red carpet debut in 2018, and since then, their appearances have been far and few between. But all that changed on Saturday, when the couple broke their red carpet-free streak and attended their first official event together in nearly three years.
Making a rare joint appearance at the 10th annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, Perry and Bloom confirmed that their couple's style is still on lock. For her part, Perry wore an elegant black gown that featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, a sculpted bodice, and a voluminous skirt. She jazzed up the simplicity of her dress with reflective silver accessories — including pointy-toe pumps, a tiny metallic handbag, and a metal hairpiece wrapped around her long, braided ponytail.

Meanwhile, Bloom looked dapper and matched Perry in a classic tux with a white button-down shirt and a black bowtie underneath.
Back in July 2023, Perry and Bloom were last spotted together publicly canoodling in the stands at Wimbledon. And while it wasn't a red carpet, they still managed to coordinate their outfits for the occasion, with the singer channeling Audrey Hepburn in an off-the-shoulder navy blue top paired with polka-dot scarf and oversized sunglasses, and the actor wearing a blue checkered suit with a button-down that was several shades lighter.
