Including comfy and flattering picks from Lululemon and Alo Yoga.
As a shopping writer and a self-proclaimed gym rat, I’ve tested and reviewed just about every popular activewear brand on the market — and then some. My assortment of leggings and biker shorts have accompanied me through 75 Hard, pilates, daily hot-girl walks, and even lazy days rotting on the couch. And as much as I would like to have one perfect pair, it doesn’t exist since all my leggings and biker shorts have a specific purpose. My Lululemon leggings and Alo Yoga biker shorts are more of my light-lift or comfy loungewear go-tos, whereas my Free People biker shorts and my Tnnzeet Amazon leggings are for more strenuous workouts.
Out of my collection of 30-plus biker shorts and leggings, I rounded up 10 of my personal faves that I’d buy all over again if I were starting from scratch — the crème de la crème, if you will. The best part? Prices start at just $9.

Tnnzeet High-Waisted Leggings
Buy on Amazon $10 $9
The Tnnzeet’s High-Waisted Leggings are one of the oldest in my rotation. When I bought them a few years ago, I didn’t think they would hold up against my strenuous workout routine, but surprisingly, they’ve held up well and are still one of my most reached-for styles. The high-waisted leggings come in sizes S/M, L/XL, and XXL, and are available in 24 colors and prints, from classic black to pink to tie-dye options. You can choose between a few different styles like no pockets, two pockets, a crisscross waistband, or fleece-lining for colder days. The fabric is buttery soft and super stretchy, plus they have a 4.5-inch wide waistband that offers extra coverage, support, and prevents the leggings from rolling down during intensive workouts.
Lululemon Align High-Rise Pant
Buy on Lululemon $98
When I want to feel like I’m not wearing pants but have to, I go for my coveted Align High-Rise leggings from Lululemon. They feel like a second skin, and the best part is they don’t ride up or dig in. They come in 14 colors including pink, black, blue, purple, navy, and brown, and sizes range from 0 to 20. They’re also available in a variety of inseams from 23 to 31 inches. They feature a high-waisted design with a wider width and a hidden waistband pocket. The fabric is baby-soft, sweat-wicking, and super stretchy so you have full mobility when you’re on the move.
Alo High-Waist Biker Short
Buy on Aloyoga.com $68
I’m not much of a bike rider, but I live in Alo Yoga’s High-Waist Biker Shorts. I’m often channeling my inner Princess Diana by styling them with an oversized T-shirt, white tube socks, and sneakers, and I’m not the only one. Kendall Jenner has also been seen sporting a similar look in the ultra-comfy shorts. They come in black and white, and sizes range from XXS to L. They have a smooth, close-to-the-body fit that stops about mid-thigh, a compression-like fabric that doesn’t dig, and tons of stretch.
