Dakota Johnson is continuing her Roman holiday, and who better to show her around town than former Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele?
Johnson and Michele strolled around the Italian capital—where Michele has an apartment—in a chic update on tourist 'fits. The Madame Web actor wore an autumnal brown and orange houndstooth coat, with a pair of flared black jeans, and aviators. Boosting her neutral outfit with a pop of color, she added a pair of cherry hued patent leather ballet flats with a criss-crossing buckle detail from Alaïa.
Michele, ironically, embodied the role of tourist dressing more than his visiting friend. But don’t expect to see him in dad shorts and a visor. The designer wore a plaid flannel shirt with cuffed red pants and white sneakers. He accessorized with a pair of square, oversized sunnies, a fanny pack clipped onto his hips, and a New York Yankees cap. It’s amazing to see that he and Johnson—who rocked a Mets cap earlier on in her trip—are able to maintain a friendship despite their warring teams (or…hats).
Johnson’s vacation style is rife with inspiration for anyone taking on a walking-heavy city. Last week, she elevated a simple trousers and T-shirt look with Gucci monogrammed pants and a sweet powder blue cardigan. Now, she and Michele have given us yet another set of looks to add to our next vacay moodboard.
