Kylie Jenner is tapping into her freaky side as she enters the exotic world of canned cocktails. The reality star and entrepreneur became the latest Kar-Jenner to dip her toe into the alcohol market, launching a line of vodka sodas called Sprinter, which she dutifully carried label-out throughout the night.
The brief for Jenner’s celebration in West Hollywood was ultra-sexy, and she did not come to play. Styled by sister duo Mackenzie and Alexandra Grandquist, Jenner wore a body-hugging black latex dress, which we assume was rigorously oiled to maximize its sheen. The flattering midi—a low neckline and an open back—is a pure bombshell look.
But the real star of this smoke-show look? Jenner’s barely-there pumps. She donned a pair of sheer nude latex heels with a rounded toe from Courrèges’s pre-fall 2024 collection. Nicolas Di Felice’s collection was inspired by Querelle, the homoerotic ’80s arthouse film, as well as fetish-wear. So it’s not a huge stretch to say that Jenner’s shoes resemble, well, condoms. (Perhaps another untapped market for the entrepreneurial family?)
It is exciting to see Kylie Jenner really commit to the bit with this out-there shoe. It’s easy to be sexy—to pair a vampy latex dress with a more typical stiletto—but pulling from a collection that unabashedly embraces the spirit of kink was a compelling styling choice. And this isn’t the first time this month that she’s worn a piece from a collection that’s nodded to queer culture. At the Vanity Fair Oscars party, she opted for a fresh-off-the-runway dress from Ludovic de Saint Sernin, which featured a floral design pulled directly from Robert Mapplethorpe’s photography.
