Sydney Sweeney is becoming a bona fide Miu Miu girl. The actor, who presented at the GLAAD Media Awards last night, hit the red carpet in her second custom dress by the brand in recent memory.
For the occasion, the actor wore a silky, pale blue dress with a train that fanned out behind her. Although a simple, classic silhouette, it featured two sets of straps—the gown’s tank straps and a sequined bodice that emerged from underneath the cowl neckline and hung off of the shoulders. Sweeney kept the classic brief when it came to her jewelry, donning a diamond tennis necklace, stud earrings, and a handful of rings which all accentuated the bejeweled detailing on her dress.
Miu Miu made Sweeney a similarly sparkly dress for the New York premiere of her film, Anyone But You. The actor and her stylist, Molly Dickson, coordinated with the Italian label to create a mesh column dress with a leather empire-waisted belt, dripping in crystals. They kept the theme going when Sweeney attended the brand’s fall 2024 show in Paris earlier this month. In that instance, she opted for the ever-trendy pantless look (kickstarted by Miu Miu’s star-studded fall 2023 runway), rocking a pair of sequined briefs over black tights.
It seems that Sydney Sweeney and Miu Miu have hit their stride together, abiding by the adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” We’re eagerly awaiting her next campaign.
