She kicked off the event with a performance of her debut single "Talk About Love."
Kate Hudson is known for her free-spirited style — from her collection of easy-breezy dresses to pairing a simple white tank top and jeans with an oversized fuzzy coat. And at last night’s 2024 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, she brought her signature flower child fashion — albeit with a trendy twist.
Kicking off the award ceremony with a live performance of her debut single “Talk About Love,” Hudson hit the stage in a white sheer maxi dress that was as much boho as it was naked. The floor-sweeping gown featured ruffled tiers of see-through fabric, barely-there spaghetti straps, and a plunging bustier neckline with embroidered floral cups. Kate accessorized minimally, adding just a smattering of silver rings and styled her blonde hair in tousled waves with a middle part.
Dewy skin, rosy cheeks, and a natural pink lip provided the finishing touches to her soft glam.

Ahead of her performance, Hudson made a statement expressing her excitement. “The LGBTQ community has supported and stood by me for as long as I’ve been a performer. It is a privilege to share another facet of my artistry with my nearest and dearest fans, and to expand on my lifelong journey of being an ally,” she said, adding, “Music brings people together and I can’t wait to spread the love and joy with queer people and GLAAD this year.”
Back in January, Hudson announced that she would be coming out with a full album later this year following the release of “Talk About Love.” Hudson previously told Today host Savannah Guthrie that she’s been “writing music my whole life and I’ve never shared it” and “I just thought maybe I have to do that.”
