Bella Hadid is in her horse girl era. Ever since the model began dating Adan Banuelos, a professional cowboy, earlier this year, Hadid has been leaning into a more western look: She’s slipped into pieces like fringed chaps, leather jackets and of course, cowboy hats. Given she’s ridden horse since she was young, the style is a natural vibe for her. And yesterday in Beverly Hills, Hadid continued the rodeo-ready aesthetic. Though, this time, her off-duty ensemble channeled cowgirl fashion in a more sleek, refined way: it was all about the cut of her jeans.
Styled with a vintage tee, Hadid slipped into a pair of dark-wash bootcut jeans—a timeless western silhouette. The flared hemline, popularized by jean brands like Levi’s and Wrangler, are a cowboy (and cowgirl!) favorite because you can comfortably slip your cowboy boots underneath them. Typically, they’re styled with a matching denim top or a classic snap top, but leave it to Hadid to give them a more modern fashion feel—thanks to her heeled square-toe boots, and an oversized Saint Laurent bag with chain straps.
The outfit is more runway than rodeo. But considering that Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey are going country, and designers like Pharrell are also obsessed with western designs, Hadid certainly couldn’t be more on trend.
