Miss Sohee, the emerging label by the South Korean designer Sohee Park may not be a household name yet, but that’s soon to change. Last night at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Anya Taylor-Joy attended wearing a custom version of a look from the designer’s fall 2021 couture collection—a bodycon minidress with a sheer embroidered bustier and lavishly embellished shoulders which matched a cap with teardrop pearls around the ears that gave the effect of trompe l’oeil earrings. While the runway look consisted of a very on-trend bodysuit, the updated iteration gave Taylor-Joy a chance to show off her leggy figure without sacrificing any of the glam required for the hottest after-party of the evening.
Park works with deadstock and recycled fabrics, making Taylor-Joy’s look a sustainable one. As one of the few South Korean designers who show in Paris, the Miss Sohee label has a loyal fan base that continues to grow with every red-carpet appearance. Last year, it was the actress Fan Binbing who wore one of her looks to the Academy Awards.
