Kristen Stewart is doing method dressing her way. The actor attended the premiere of her film, Love Lies Bleeding, wearing a subtle nod to the bodybuilders at the center of the story.
The film follows Stewart as a gym manager and Katy O’Brian as her bodybuilder love interest, all against the backdrop of the 1980s. But expect no neon spandex here. Stewart stayed true to her style for the premiere, melding her own tastes with a period-appropriate silhouette.
Styled by Tara Swennen, Stewart wore a black square-neck, spaghetti strap bodysuit. The barely-there piece, from the brand Bettter, featured an ultra-high cut, showing off the actor’s diaphanous Wolford tights underneath. Continuing the monochromatic look’s long line, she added a pair of pointy-toed black Chanel pumps (Stewart is a Chanel girl, after all). To cover her scant bodysuit, she added a black blazer, also from Bettter, which advertises itself as an upcycled label making “his wardrobe, reimagined for her.”
But while the look may have been in Stewart’s wheelhouse, she opted for comfort immediately following the red carpet. For the Q&A, she changed threw on a pair of cropped black pants over her bodysuit and swapped her heels for black Adidas Gazelles and white socks. A woman after our own hearts!
